29 Weeks

Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of a Butternut Squash
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +25 pounds approximately. I think about 15 pounds are in my boobs... :)
Maternity Clothes: full on
Gender: Baby Boy!
Movement: ALL. THE. TIME. He also loves to give me little hard spots all over my belly from where he's sticking out what I imagine is either his ass or his head or both.
What I miss: sushi and strong coffee. i have cheated a few times this week and taken sips from some of my son's Dr. Peppers..... :)
Sleep: I've actually slept really well this week! Wednesday night i slept through that entire night without getting up once to pee.
Symptoms: Backaches and basic discomfort. I had an experience with the siatic nerve earlier in the week that was not fun by any means.
Cravings: I have been on a sweets kick big time this week.
Best Moment this week: I passed my Glucose Test I took on Wednesday!!! So I can still eat sugar which is nice because i don't respond well to being told NOT to do something....lol
What I am looking forward to: Ringing in the new year and getting ready for all of the upcoming events that we have going on.

28 Weeks

Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of a head of a Chinese cabbage.
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +22
Maternity Clothes: all maternity and big t-shirts when i am at home lounging
Gender: Baby Boy!
Movement: Lots and lots of movement throughout the day and night.
What I miss: Not having to struggle to get up when I lay down.
Sleep: pretty good. I am starting to feel that tiredness creep back in which i am not a huge fan of
Symptoms: Backaches and some shoulder pain. I just can't seem to find a bra that fits me and is comfortable.
Cravings: Fruit which sucks since it is winter time there are not a lot of options

27 Weeks

Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of a head of cauliflower (finally a veggie I recognize)
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +20 pounds approximately.
Maternity Clothes: yup everyday.
Gender: Boy parts
Movement: Still a lot of movement throughout the day and night. If he's this active on the outside I'm not going to get much sleep once he is born.
What I miss: Not much, I'm getting pretty used to this pregnancy thing, the good and the bad parts.
Sleep: pretty good. i really have been trying to go to bed earlier though.
Symptoms: Still lots of backaches and overall discomfort especially at the end of the day. My belly button has been poking out it is almost completely flat now.
Cravings: Not really craving any foods in particular. I still drink a lot of sweet tea.
Best Moment this week: Taking maternity pictures on Saturday. I can not wait for them to be posted online.
What I am looking forward to: Getting into the 3rd trimester and Christmas.... :)
What I'm NOT look forward to: Taking my Glucose Tolerance Test on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed that I pass!!

26 weeks

Size of baby: According to babycenter.com the baby is about the size of an English Hothouse Cucumber. *Really they couldn't think of anything else to compare it to? What is that anyway?*
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +18 pounds approximately honestly i haven't weighed this week because if always upsets me.
Maternity Clothes: I would say minus the occasional shirt i am in full on maternity wear at this point. Gender: Boy
Movement: Lots and lots of movement throughout the day and night especially after i eat something sweet
What I miss: Just being able to move around without being short of breath
Sleep: Better. Still waking up to pee 2-3 times but in between pee breaks I sleep well.
Symptoms: Lots of backaches and overall discomfort towards the end of the day. By 9 p.m. i am just laid up on the couch until bed time.
Cravings: breakfast. I don't know why but all i can think about lately is french toast and pancakes and bacon.
Best Moment this week: This isn't pregnancy related but watching my Texans beat the Atlanta falcons last Sunday and inching closer to a playoff run.
What I am looking forward to: our maternity photo shoot on Saturday. I am praying that the weather will be nice and that all of my boys will cooperate.... :)
